KUALA LUMPUR — Sunway Velocity Mall was recently awarded the FIABCI Malaysia Property Award 2018 under the Retail Category.
The Malaysia Property Award honours developments that display excellence in all aspects of their creations.
Judged over seven months by an independent panel of experts, the entries were evaluated based on their design, impact on the environment, facility management, financial viability, marketing strategies, benefits to the community as well as lifestyle improvements.

Sunway Velocity Mall has a build-up area of 1.4 million square feet, boasting a total of seven floors that house over 400 retail outlets. The shopping centre has a strong focus on food and beverages, fashion and ‘retail-tainment’.
Strategically located within the Sunway Velocity integrated development in Cheras/KL South, 80% of the total offerings from the mall are made up of fashion and beauty, healthcare-related outlets and food and beverages.
The development sits a mere 3.8 km from the KL City Center and is flanked by Jalan Cheras, Jalan Shelly and Jalan Peel. Easily-accessible through major roads and highways, the development is well-serviced and connected all around by public transportation including one LRT and two MRT interchanges.
